Legally Troubled Wallis Just Can’t Get It Right

HOUSTON  (SFTHH)-This past Tuesday the Wyoming House agriculture committee shot down Rep. Sue Wallis’ “Wyoming Food Freedom Act”.

Wallis, currently under investigation for alleged fraud and ethics charges, has publicly claimed that she supported the act to encourage the sale and consumption of homemade foods outside of the scope of standard government inspection.  In reality the act is alleged to be a thinly veiled attempt to circumvent federal law regarding the inspection of meat so that Wallis can profit from her planned horse slaughter plant.  This would also allow Wallis to slip around the issue of carcinogenic drugs which are used upon American Equines as horses are not considered a food animal in the United States.  The European Union has banned U.S. horse meat unless it can be verified that it is drug free.

Adding to the worries of the pro-slaughter politician is the failure of her much touted “Summit of the Horse” slaughter convention which she and horse trainer Dave Duquette sponsored in Las Vegas at the beginning of this month.  Advertised to be a revolutionary gathering of horsemen from across the country who care about horses the gathering garnered barely 200 attendees, 45 of which were speakers as per Wallis’ own internet postings.  Likewise, Wallis’ two most heralded guest speakers, BLM Director Bob Abbey and Dr. Temple Grandin, did not agree with the horse slaughter premise of the gathering further weakening the alleged stance and credibility of both Wallis and Duquette.

Further adding to the demise of the slaughter meeting was the alleged unprovoked battery by Wallis upon equine advocate Simone Netherlands.  With press credentials registered and accepted by Wallis and company Netherlands was reported to be physically ejected from Dr. Grandin’s speech by Wallis possibly resulting in injury to Netherland’s healing broken arm.  The incident is currently under investigation by Las Vegas Police.

    • Hey, they put it out there for the world to see.

They also boasted that they had over 800 hits on their streaming video links over that 3 day period. I hate to burst their bubble but most of those hits came from sane advocates logging in as it was more humorous and entertaining than Pay-per-View….likewise, our blog had over 5,000 unique hits on only ONE day during that period so I really do not think that mainstream America is interested in their fringe fanaticism. They have also tanked in every single public poll regarding horse slaughter. Either they cannot read or they have no conception as to the mood and tastes of the real world.

Maybe they should take off their blinders and get out more often.

  2. Thank GOd. I firmly believe that all these little winnings will add up to one big bucket with Slaughterhouse Sue in it. Her creditability has been shot to hell in a bread basket and may she fall in the basket with horse manure on top. I hope that this will be one of many winnings by those wanting to save our wild horses and burros. That she would have the gaul to hurt Netherlands is deserving of a big time in jail for battery. I wish we could come up with enough charges so they would spend the rest of her life in jail. What a good start of a victory for all our horses. Yippee! Yippee! Good ridence Slaughterhouse Sue. The hens are coming home to roost.
