“Slaughterhouse” Sue Wallis Fawns over Pro-Slaughter BLM King Pin

Sue Wallis Caught in Her Own Lies to Misguided Federal Official

From the Deceptive Queen of the Horse Eaters;

Director Abbey,

I wanted to personally let you know how much we all appreciate your willingness to join us in Las Vegas for the Summit of the Horse. Your agency’s work is so important to the overall picture. We look forward to hearing about your efforts to create realistic and sustainable solutions to the problems surrounding the management of wild horses on federal lands.

I also wanted to make sure that you understand that the program is designed to address two separate and very distinct problems in the overall picture. Misinformed activists are doing their best to cloud and obfuscate, so I wanted to let you know, directly from us, what our vision is and what we hope to accomplish.

First, we want to bring reasonable people from various viewpoints to the table to discuss calmly and rationally the challenges around the management of not only wild horses on federal lands, but the serious problems with feral horses on tribal, state, and private lands where these horses are not under federal management. As I’m sure you are aware, the problems there are just as dire, actually more so, because tribes, states, and ranchers don’t have the luxury of calling on the taxpayers to foot the bill.

Secondly, a number of separate efforts are being developed in Oregon, Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming to restore humane and regulated horse processing for the domestic horse industry. This is needed to provide a viable option for horse owners in regards to the disposal of excess and unusable horses. While I cannot speak for the other efforts, I can assure you that the plant we are building in Wyoming has absolutely no intention, never have, and never will of processing BLM horses. There is huge pent-up demand in the domestic horse world since the Pickens financed HSUS drive that shut down the U.S. horse processing facilities in 2007, and we will only be processing those horses that are provided by owners who fully understand that they are going to be humanely processed for zoo diets, pet food, and other useful products.

While there is some interrelationship between these two objectives, they are quite distinct. Therefore the first afternoon of our program, where you are our keynote speaker is organized around the theme, “Healthy lands/Healthy Horses—Restoring ecological balance to federal lands, controlling excess and unwanted feral horses on state, tribal, and private lands,” while the other blocks of time scheduled during the Summit primarily address issues within the domestic horse industry.

Thanks again. I look forward to meeting you in Las Vegas.

Sincerely,

Sue Wallis, Vice President
United Horsemen a 501c3 educational and charitable nonprofit dedicated to the well being of horses and horse people

Caught in her own LIE, below “Slaughterhouse” speaks out of turn at BLM workshop and states that slaughter IS the answer to the alleged wild horse issue.  When you are a pathological lair it is difficult to keep track of what you lies you are telling.

Interesting is that while Abbey states he needs to meet with people on all sides that he won’t sit down for an interview with Steve Long. Perhaps because Steve won’t let him talk around his lies and that Horseback magazine will put it all out there for everyone to see. Gutless bastard.

    • Yes, it’s a word. In context, if means to confuse the issue. Interesting choice of word coming from Mrs. Wallis. It seems to me that she obfuscates quite a lot herself. 🙂
I wonder if Bob Abbey understands that this woman is not only a State Representative, but that she’s also the head of the non-profit that’s associated with this so-called “summit.” In other words, if she were in US Congress, she’d already be up on ethics violations for conflict of interest. At some level, whether for profit or non-profit, she will make some kind of money from horse slaughter. Unless she’s a volunteer president of the non-profit, she’s making money.
      Nothing like double dipping…

  9. The one and only spreading misinformation is Wallis. She is driven to tap into the pool of treachery. Notice how she calls the slaughter now “horse processing facilities”… what a fancy term in the name of her agenda, where humanity is NOT and never was a true concern. She decorates her writings carefully with this term, adding a bit of “motherly” advice on her self-appointed arrogance which shines thru her note like a blinder.
It seems the joining ship of Abbey and consorts and Wallis and meatpackers are the next great scandal looming over the bureau, which will certainly rock the nation by those who do not fall into their category of “reasonable”, which are the rest of the horse people who despise slaughter for what it is and always was, a hellish exploitation, a health threat to the public and a morally unconscionable to the American public. Wallis is a master of manipulation, a conniving zealot, trying to convert anyone to her belief system, monopolizing every discussion as she attempted in June in Denver. She is like a dog with a bone… she got this idea in her head and will never let go, will vehemently pursuing her goal at any cost. She mixes a little truth in her lies to confuse and misguide… insisting she never lies, she just gives incomplete information. Wallis is an offense to our dignity, our reasonable views and solutions other than her agenda. With so much rejection, is it a wonder her low self esteem has to resort to deception and treachery ? Is it a wonder Abbey is falling to the standard of Wallis, enhancing her self-worth with embellished manipulations ? Wallis long aog needed a check up from the neck up. Sad to see Abbey lacks the courage to speak to Steve Long or anyone representing the other side. The conspiratorial merger here reeks of corruption, and clearly will cause an echo of public outrage. Wallis will have a spot reserved as in Dante’s “Inferno”, the final circle of hell which is reserved for perpetrators of the most heinous sin of all:
betrayal. A chameleon changing depending on what she thinks her croonies need to hear. She now plots with the BLM, salt in her eyes, sugar on her lips, proposing again the lies of a remorseless viper.
So let’s not fall victim to this propaganda targeting others and educate, share, network and expose the dirt which Wallis picks up more with her phony mouth than a vacuum cleaner.

  10. I also love the way that Wallis has suddenly decided that T. Boone and Madeleine finance the HSUS (like they are the only ones that donate money to the nonprofit). Duquette has made threats against people, they can’t tolerate anyone who disagrees with them, they are obviously crazy. Why does the BLM want to get in bed with people like this? I would certainly like to know if they are PAYING Bob Abbey to attend this “Summit” and if so, how much.

    • I’m kinda thinking WE are the ones paying him. Are government officials allowed to be paid personally for appearances? Or does any payment go to the agency. Elected officials can’t accept “gifts” over a certain dollar amount, as many have found out the hard way.

    • The other major bogus claim is that WE are making money at standing up and attempting to protect the horses. One thing is for sure, they have neither run a legitimate 501(c) 3 or 4 organization nor ever been involved with a non-profit or charity work as doing this is a constant out flow of money. I would be more than glad to open up my books and show where my retirement portfolio is slowly being nibbled away at to pay for legal fees in suits against the BLM…they are right, there is a lot of money involved in equine advocacy but they have directions all screwed up…it is OUTFLOW not INFLOW. They are so incredibly out of touch with reality that sometimes you would just like to slap them alongside their heads and invite them into the real world instead of the fantasy they have created for themselves. Maybe they are eating their own homegrown mushrooms or something…

Where is all these wealthy advocates? ‘Cause we need to hook it UP; my last paycheck was an autographed copy of a book. While the book is precious to ME, B of A would not accept it in lieu of October’s house payment. (how narrow minded is that??!)

We tried to buy an Observer a used vehicle off Craig’s List so said Observer could get from Point A to B cuz the bus & train lines generally don’t run where Observers need to be and the Observer’s car had Had Enough.

A goodly portion of this radical group of ne’er-do-wells perform their tasks on their own time, with their own funds or alms gathered from other Advocates because there are no grants available to give Observers what they need and they have what to show for it? A broke-ass back from sleepin’ in their car, fast food wrappers for warmth, gas tank sittin’ just above ‘E’, acid reflux, migraines from lack of sleep, a cold sore that simply WILL not go away and chronic dehydration from the 200 gallons of tears spilled on an annual basis.

Home-based Advocates have an equally lavish lifestyle, what with the realization that chores are less important than poring over half a million words off the internet, a right thumb that hangs limp and useless from right-clicking 60 times an hour, permanently numb butt cheeks from forgetting to get up and walk every now and then, starving children and pets, a spouse who may be on his or her last nerve, occasional paranoid episodes about who or what is reading their e-mails and the inability to conduct an intelligent conversation that doesn’t begin “You know what the BLM is doing NOW?” AND chronic dehydration from the 200 gallons of tears spilled on an annual basis.

All of this – whether they’re employed or not.

Oh yeah. We rollin’ in tall cotton, ain’t we?

Everyone should copy and save the above letter…especially for this comment,

The *public outcry and onslaught was massive and powerful!! And remains so!! Having this “Summit” proves desperation!

  12. “First, we want to bring reasonable people from various viewpoints to the table to discuss calmly and rationally the challenges……”

A few questions Sue – who have you asked to speak that has a various viewpoint other than killing horses?

Who have you invited to explain food safety regulations to you? Or did you just invite people that can give you ideas on how to get around the rules? Bet you broke out in hives when the senate passed the sweeping reform on food safety. The slaughter industry may have the USDA in their pocket but now you’ll have to deal with FDA. It’s a whole new ballgame and you better brush up on the rules because those umpires don’t mess around.

Who have you invited to speak that is going to address the over breeding that is feeding the slaughter pipeline?

Who have you invited that will discuss the GAO findings on livestock?

Who have you invited that has been on an investigation to the slaughter plants?

As a legislator, you should be advocating that all Americans pay their fare share. Why should welfare ranchers be exempt? Will you be having a session on the appropriate grazing fees they should be paying so Americans don’t have to shell out hundreds of millions of dollars to subsidize their livestock?

If you are so against radicals, why is Foster a speaker? You said “The objective will be to provide practical, hands-on advice and training on how to protect yourself and your way of life from radical extremist agendas.” Jeez Sue, help us understand how wanting animals to be treated humanely is radical?

All you have invited are people with various viewpoints on how to continue killing our horses. Perhaps someday you’ll understand that Americans are a humane society and don’t believe in profiting from the suffering of animals.

  13. …..”unwanted horses on Tribal Lands?”. Native Americans had better beware of any dealings with these people. Is that where they intend to foist a slaughter plant–on Tribal Lands? They might not get by with it anywhere else. The fact that the Department of the Inferior has sent an emissary to this meeting should be cause for concern.

As I sign one letter then go to the emails, there are more of the same emails of horrific nature and I get sick reading all this stuff, especially when we have NO POWER to do anything about it, when it is happening!!!!! I don’t know about anyone else but this gal Sue Wallis just gets off on her own sick confidence, lying doesn’t matter. And why does she do this? One word “POWER” Take that away from her and she nothing but a fat middle aged, unflattering female or perhaps she is that Boy Named Sue? I have to think about that one a little more.
In the meantime they will be in Enterprise and Milford, Utah doing their dirty deeds which is near me, I’m in Cedar City and need everyone who reads this to sign the letter, add your own comments, flood the Cedar City field office with disdain from all of us. Up to now I don’t think Cedar City gets much opposition to the ROGUE BLM! Most of the population is brain dead here. 14,000 registered republicans didn’t vote at the poles in Nov and that left one of pelosi’s boys in office here.
PLEASE, I beg all of you to sign the letter. Copy and paste this address to your browser……….we need YOU before Dec 9th!!!!

  17. Zoos do NOT want to feed horsemeat as they fear for their hooved animals diseases like strangles!!!

We all know many of the low class horse auctions and kill-jobbers are contaminated with strangles and other sicknesses.

The BLM overcrowded conditions also have many strangles outbreaks, thousands of blm cases of strangles, and other bacteria diseases. Also the BLM reports they never vaccinate or worm their longterm holding horses!

Zoos do not want to risk the spreading of diseases to their hooved animals.

In addition, we dog owners do not want to feed horsemeat to our dogs. There is a risk of sickness or death from ivermection horse wormers, that can kill dogs.
Dogs can also get cancer from the many horse drugs that are proven to cause cancer in humans. We dog owners do NOT want to feed cancer causing drugs to our pets.

So Sue Wallis… stop trying to kill horses to “feed” any creature!! human or animal!! The horse is NOT a food animal!!

    • not “secret” plans to send wild horses to slaughter. That white paper said the blm always ‘cheats’ outright-steals some wild horses through their friends/buddies/family adopting some and some federal employees ‘hide’ some wild horses on close private lands, some take some from the contractor corrals after hour–in that white paper all those wild horses went to slaughter. Those people never got charged with the crimes.

plus the BLM main contractor got caught poaching/stealing wild horses that were sent to slaughter. He was charged with crimes and got a ‘slap on the wrist’ and is still working for BLM!!

what about all the wild horses that get ‘pushed’ onto private lands then show up at feedlots called ‘feral’..

The BLM is so freaking corrupt, they cheat and lie!! Killed so many horses. Thousands of wild horses suffer!! Thousands of wild horses crammed in trailers, such a horrid thought those poor wild animals crammed into trailers!! ..the BLM belong in jail with all the horse killers. They are nothing more than taxpayer thieves and animal abusers..

Its no secret at all..the BLM has killed a lot of wild horses. So much deaths and suffering the BLM leadership has allowed they will NEVER be forgiven or forgotten.

Abbey needs to make a START to really protect and help wild horses before he will every stop people screaming at him. Abbey has to stop supporting his corrupt federal employees and horse thieves contractors..he needs to stop acting like hes King Of the Horse -eaters!! along with Salazar his Dark Prince of animal abuse!
For gods sake go open a beef cattle ranch like ‘normal’ humans do!!

  20. There are so many reasons that horse slaughter plants closed in the United States. We all probably know the reasons, but for pro-slaughter people checking out this blog, here are just a few of the issues:

    1) Inhumane practices. This is first and foremost. It’s been WELL documented that horses react differently to stress than other domesticated livestock. (For the record, I don’t consider horses livestock, but that’s how they’re categorized by lots of folks.) From shipping to processing, these horses are mistreated. They scream, they thrash, they injure themselves and other horses, they won’t stay still for retractable bolts so they’re often only stunned and semi-conscious — not dead — when the slaughter process begins with chainsaws slicing them up. This inhumane practice has been filmed OVER AND OVER by animal welfare groups. It’s been exposed in the media countless times. I don’t think anyone is naive enough to believe the treatment of slaughter-bound horses will change just because Sue Wallis says it’s humane.

    2) No one eats horse meat in this country. No market for human consumption. Zoos and pet food companies can’t use it because of the chemicals often found in horse meat — “bute,” banamine, and ivermectin. (Those 3 words should be our mantra. 🙂 ) The labels on these medications clearly state “not for animals intended for food.” No way to trace which horse has received what medication in its lifetime.

    3) Sanitation. In Texas and Illinois, the plants were disgustingly filthy with REPEATED health code violations. Trucks leaving the plants with horse heads, legs, etc. would often not cover their loads and these body parts often littered the local roads. Talk about gross, unsanitary, disturbing and again in violation of health codes.

    4) Communities where horse slaughter plants were located were not designed to handle the extra strain on their water/sewer systems. Horses have more blood in their bodies by gallons and gallons than other livestock, which means more waste going down the drain. The community — not the slaughter house — has to pay for upgrades and improvements to water and sewer systems to keep up with the demands of this disgusting business. This can easily run into the millions for a usually small town without a lot of resources. The investment is not returned to the community, which then also carries the social stigma of being home to a horse butcher shop.

    5) Most communities really don’t want horse slaughter plants. Everywhere there’s been one in the US, there have been on-going legitimate legal complaints about how the businesses operated. Everything from the smell, to watching sick and injured horses suffering in filthy, knee-deep mud/manure paddocks, to … well, you name it … any kind of complaint imaginable that can be associated with slaughter.

The only way to head off the problem of over-population is to get to the root of the issue, which is over-breeding. Penalize irresponsible breeders, not horses.
