Feel Good Sunday (video): Humans Help Save Injured Baby Donkey

“With all the madness that has enveloped the equine world, be it man-made or caused by nature, it feels good to simply sit back for a moment and watch kind gentle souls help a four legged critter in need. We by no means endorse a particular rescue but simply thought this story was worth sharing; brings back memories closer to home of the rescue/rehab work of Marjorie Farabee, Jerry Finch, Hilary Wood, Elaine Nash and many others.

To all you human angels who tend to those who traverse this planet on 4 legs, may God bless you and keep you. Your wingspan is greater than you may think. Keep the faith.” ~ R.T.

Wild Horse DC Posse Delivers Goods

Dear Fellow Equine Welfare Advocates:

No press release, just a simple thank you note.

On a personal level I would like to thank everyone involved for the success of delivering your heartfelt letters to D.C. asking the President to put a stop to the senseless management to extinction of our wild horses and burros.

Thanks go our Wild Horse Freedom Federation’s BoD, Habitat for Horses, the Cloud Foundation, the Office of Rep. Jim Moran, Horseback Magazine, PPJ Gazette, Protect Mustangs, Respect4Horses, Equine Welfare Alliance, Native Wild Horse Protection, Animal Law Coalition, Marin Mustangs, my wife Terry, Jerry Finch and the thousands and thousands of outraged American taxpayers who took the time to collect their thoughts and forward their feelings to us so that we could take them to Washington D.C. (apologies to anyone I may have forgotten)

Your Wild Horse & Burro Letters to Washington DC!

Dear Wild Horse and Burro Freedom Fighters;

Remember all those postcards you mailed in to the Cloud Foundation over the past two years? Or the flyers and petitions you signed demanding a moratorium to roundups at events where I was speaking?

Well, tomorrow R.T. and Terry Fitch (Wild Horse Freedom Federation) and Jerry Finch (Habitat for Horses) will be hand carrying the Cloud Foundation mail as well as what (they have received (over 15,000 cards and letters!) to Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA). Congressman Moran will be giving your messages to the President.

The $2,000.00 Horse Slaughter Challenge

It might not be a lot of money but Jerry Finch, Founder and President of Habitat for Horses, called out the propaganda perpetuating horse-killers only to have the dark-side fall flat on their faces. He threw down one thousand dollars as a challenge for the horse-haters to verify why horse slaughter is necessary and from the handful of mindless followers of “Slaughterhouse” Sue Wallis and Dave “Doink” Duquette only the lamest dared to show their faces and still not one solid, scientific, moralistic, ethical fact has been brought forward to support why it is necessary to butcher our companion horses and then eat their flesh. Not one single reason; so we are going to up the ante and I will, personally, throw in an additional thousand in an effort to get these money mongering cockroaches to crawl out from under their rocks and stand in the light of day and attempt to support their failed philosophy. Just one, can any of them truly debate and substantiate their bloody stance without subverting the truth and manipulating legal actions from behind closed doors? I don’t think so. We may as well make it $100,000.00 and watch the circus because there is no chance on this green earth that these unenlightened cult of misguided livestock dealers will ever be able prove their point beyond any reasonable shadow of doubt.

Simple Math Butchers Horse Slaughter Terrorist Propaganda

When it comes to the years that we have all been working to ensure that predatory horse slaughter stays out of the United States I rank way down on the food chain of the “Who’s Who in Equine Advocacy.” There are many more knowledgable and eloquent individuals such as Jerry Finch and John Holland, and many others, who carried the torch long before my eyes were opened and my heart-broken by the butchering of companion animals for the profit of foreign interests. But one thing that I do possess is a nose for business and, at the very least, the ability to know what makes a product profitable versus being a dog on the market and it does NOT take a PhD in economics to see that horse slaughter not only tanked in this country but it will never amount to anything, again.
